Important Dates for Food $en$e Coordinators:


EBT Approvals: April 16

EBT Reminder 

As a reminder, when completing a food stamp voucher (EBT), please put the name of your site in the Store Name field. Write approval numbers clearly in pen. When calling in for approval, you can approve more than one voucher at a time.
Please Remember:

- If your payment is not received by the deadline, your delivery will not be shipped
- We only accept checks/money orders made payable to Food Bank of Central New York
- Please do not send paper clips or staples with your payments
- Envelopes should be labeled "re: Food Sense"
- Important forms and documents on the Food Bank website can be found under Get Help/Community Services/Food $en$e/Food $en$e Coordinators

Pork Roast: 2 lbs. for $7.25 - The pork roast is boneless and ready for the grill or oven
Macaroni & Beef Bake: 5 lbs. for $12.75 - The macaroni & beef is family-sized and a Stouffers’ product

Honey-Garlic Chicken Drumsticks
Serves six


Ingredients:
3 lbs. chicken drumsticks*
1/2 cup honey
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 small onion, diced
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. each salt and pepper

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 425˚F.
  2. Line a baking dish with aluminum foil.
  3. Add oil to a small saucepan over medium heat. When hot, stir in onion and garlic and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add honey and soy sauce. Stir in the broth and cornstarch. Pour into pan and bring to a boil.
  5. Cook until sauce has thickened (for about five minutes). Remove from heat.
  6. Pat chicken so it is dry. Place onto rack and season with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper.
  7. Place into oven and cook for ten minutes. Flip chicken and cook for an additional ten minutes.
  8. Coat chicken with some sauce and cook for another 5-10 minutes or until chicken reaches 160˚F.
