Reclaim! recap

Thank you to everyone that participated in Reclaim! 2016: Fall Edition. We saw about 200 visitors in the warehouse for the event on September 17th. Between the samples donated by design/architecture firms, and extras from our shop and warehouse, the driveway held about 6,000 pounds of materials for participants to take away for a $5 donation. We want to thank our 23 incredible volunteers who helped us to process all of the materials throughout the event. This event couldn't be successful without volunteer hands.
Creative reuse relies on donations, grants, and sponsorship to achieve our mission of keeping usable materials out of the landfill. We were thrilled to welcome back
Pfaffmann + Associates, and introduce Bridgeway Capital, as sponsors of Reclaim! Look for this event again in April of 2017.

creative education highlight
It's so hard to choose a highlight, because we met a lot of great people in September! We were definitely impressed with all the engineering skills and intense focus we saw at this year's Alcosan Open House. Participants were inspired by their surroundings and by the many things they learned about green infrastructure and battling climate change. See more pics from that day right here!

We post photos from our Creative Education programs very regularly on the worldwide web! Most often on Facebook, sometimes on Instagram. Give us a like or a follow!

Interested in volunteering at our Creative Education Programs? Complete this online form and you'll soon receive and email invite to our next Creative Education Volunteer Orientation (TBA, sometime in November)!

creative conundrum reveal

September's Creative Conundrum Material is...

Boxes!

We will be exploring the creative potential of boxes of all types: small gift boxes, paperboard boxes, plastic boxes, and round and square boxes. For the spooky month of October, we can show you how to turn a plain box into a miniature haunted house, a ghoulish coffin or storage for your treats. You can also turn your box into a special art object, such as a shadow box or art shrine. Join us for an afternoon of box-y inspiration and crafting on Saturday, October 22 from 1-4 pm.  No admission fee, but donations are encouraged! RSVP on our
Facebook event.

This Creative Conundrum Lab is made possible by the generous support of the McSwigan Family Foundation.
