creative education highlights
Maria’s family visited the Three Rivers Arts Festival to experience the arts. They love creative reuse because it “keeps garbage out of landfills” and “makes us think.” Maria was making a lovely birdhouse out of fake twigs, wire, cardboard, and plastic cups.

To the 6000 people who visited our Reuse-a-Palooza tent at Three Rivers Arts Festival and used 1150 pounds of reclaimed materials: you are AMAZING!!! A million thanks to the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust for having us. A million more thanks to the wonderful people who put in over 400 volunteer hours helping to make creative magic happen. Click here to view the Facebook album containing some of that magic.

We post photos taken during our Creative Education programs very regularly on ye olde internet! Most often on Facebook, sometimes on Instagram. Give us a Like or a Follow!

creative conundrum reveal

This month of July, come join us for our FREE in-shop program, the Creative Conundrum Lab! Our “conundrum” mystery material is revealed right here. It’s….
Broken jewelry! What do you do with broken brooches? Single earrings? Solo pendants? Renegade strands of beads? Or a piece of costume jewelry that’s too gaudy for your taste? Come to our Lab to learn how to remix pieces like these into a reuse fashion statement. We’ll teach you about jewelry tools, findings, metal stamping and making “alterna-beads.” It’s a free event (though donations are always appreciated). RSVP on our Facebook event page here
