Second Annual Restaurant Week, March 1st - 5th!

March into Spring and enjoy the area’s culinary bounty at Trumansburg Eats! This second annual restaurant week will take place March 1-5th in the Village of Trumansburg and beyond. Kick off restaurant week with a Downtown Hop, on March 1st from 5:00pm - 8:00pm, as downtown restaurants and businesses open their doors to offer cider, beer, wine, and spirits tastings and celebrate all the area has to offer. Take a stroll up and down Main Street, enjoy tastings, and grab a bite! Visit the website to see a full listing of participating restaurants and their specials.

Empty Bowls Fundraiser to Support the Trumansburg Food Pantry
The 2017 Empty Bowls Fundraiser will take place Sunday, March 12th from 1:30 - 3:00 at Atlas Bowl. For $25 you will receive a handmade bowl, soup made by area restaurants and a cookie provided by our local churches. Children under 15 are free. You can also enjoy half price bowling. Tickets available at Salmon Pottery (Sat and Sun 11-5) and Good to Go.  Gift certificates for raffle prizes are needed. Please contact Lynne Bursic 387-6562 or

Salmon Pottery Offers Deals to TACC Members
Salmon Pottery Gallery will extend their teacher discount deal to all chamber members for the month of February. Receive 20% off  and if you spend $50 after the discount, and you will receive a free gift. Hours are Sat and Sun 11-5 or by chance or appointment. Please stop in if you haven't. Trumansburg Central School District Prioritizes Community Engagement

The TCSD BOE and Leadership Team are happy to announce the next step in the community engagement process - a weekly Free Press column, (Tburg School Talk). This weekly column is intended to increase community awareness regarding District and Board of Education initiatives and meetings, provide helpful information to students and families, celebrate staff and student accomplishments, and highlight school and community organizations and their contributions to our District. We are so pleased to be taking steps to more fully communicate the exceptional accomplishments within our school and community! If you have ideas of the kinds of stories you would like to see in this column, please send an email to Elaine Springer.

We have been working closely with the Tompkins County Chamber and the Convention & Visitors Bureau to attract more people to the Trumansburg area. The new Visit Ithaca travel guides have just been printed. If you would like to have some at your business, send us an email, or stop by Good to Go! any time to pick up a stack. The TACC Board of Directors meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month, at 8:30 am. The next scheduled meeting is March 8th, 2017 at the Ulysses Town Hall.
