Jubilee Huntingfield Cup 2017

The Club continues its Sesquicentennial celebrations with the hosting of the bi-annual Jubilee Huntingfield Cup from 20-23 January. Over 15 Jubilees are expected to compete on the waters of Pittwater, both local and interstate visitors.
Jubilee yachts were the formation class of RPAYC on Pittwater in 1938. The story of the Jubes and RPAYC dates back to the mid-1930s when a RPAYC member, JR Dingle, donated five hundred pounds to the club on condition that they did not sell Green Point (our lovely site) but instead used the money to build improvements on the vacant land and adopt the Jubilee Class for racing on Pittwater .This offer was accepted.
The first race was held on December 17 1938 when 14 Jubilees competed. The Jubilees formed the backbone of RPAYC racing on Pittwater in these early days. The Huntingfield Cup has been contested annually since 1946 alternating between NSW and Victoria. So it is most fitting that RPAYC will host the Huntingfield Cup, which is the equivalent of the Jubilees National Championship, from January the 21 - 23 2017.

Celebrating the good times with the “Dicko Cup”

Nearly 60 years from when the Dicko Cup started the RPAYC still celebrates this event based around the roots of the “carnival spirit.” The event has transformed into the Dicko Cup Marathon & Hallets Beach Cruise for the Australia Day weekend on January 28 & 29.

The Dicko Cup weekend includes two races, the first a race to Hallets Beach where a sausage sizzle will await you (BYO additional food and drinks). The second race is from Hallets Beach to the Club. Read More

This year the Dicko Cup will include the Couta Boat Fleet as they will tie in their summer Pittwater Regatta with the race to Hallets Beach and will join in the celebration.
