I'm back and I have a giveaway

Hello! I am very happy to report that the hysterectomy surgery that I underwent last Thursday went well. I came back home on Friday and got going on embroidery last night. I have been off of pain killers for over twenty-four hours. Hooray!

Yesterday in the mail I received a few copies of the Spring 2016 issue of "Quilter's Connection" magazine. My "Modern Circles Rainbow Quilt" is in this issue and I am giving away a copy on my blog and on Instagram. The giveaway is open to everyone and ends at the end of the day March 9, 2016 (tomorrow) so please enter if you would like to.

Here's a cuter picture of the quilt. ;) My pattern also includes fabric requirements for a lap/twin size quilt.
In other exciting news I have a quilt coming out in Issue 10 of Make Modern Magazine which comes out March 11th (Australia time).

My Modern Quilt Guild Charity quilt "Flying Colors" is featured on the MQG blog today. Click over there to read the story behind this quilt.
So, it may seem that I am not relaxing and taking it easy after my surgery but I actually am. These projects were all finished a few months ago. :) I was happy to see that block 7 of The Splendid Sampler quilt along is an embroidery block designed by Amy Sinibaldi so I was able to work on it last night.
After I stitched up block 7 I stitched a free pattern from Alyssa of Penguin and Fish that was a little bonus project in the quilt along. This "Bee Brave" pattern is under the bonus projects on the Splendid Sampler website.
Which brings me to what I am stitching tonight which is my Kawaii Cacti pattern that I published last year. I have decided to make a cactus quilt with my samples but I need to stitch up a few more. I just need to stitch the prickles onto Grumpy Cactus and I'll be on to the next one.
I am also going to use some of my "Grumpy Cactus Pincushion" fabric in the quilt so I ordered a yard from Spoonflower.
That's if for me this week. I am happy to be resting at home but eating my husband's cooking is killing me! ;) He's good at pizza though, I'll give him that. And he's doing great looking after the three kids. (I just wrote that and then seconds later the 18 month old slips in the bathtub and is crying. *sigh*) Thank you for reading and subscribing.
