A TWIST ON THE CLEAR CHALLENGE

Since news of the suspension of so many of our favorite colors, a new challenge arose among the glass community to work in clear glass. We’d like to add a twist to that! Right now we are offering our Uncat Clear 96 with Irid (item # Wuncat-1-96 IR) at a great deal with unprecedented prices. These sheets come from our 60-00-96 GIR and 60-00-96 SIR (Gold and Silver Irid on Clear) production. They read primarily as clear, with a definite irid sheen. They’re great for use as an all-purpose clear to back any other color. The irid coating provides a clean release from kiln washed shelves or Papyros paper.

Available in 24"x24" full sheets and 1 SF precuts in our IVP-96 kits 4 pcs, 12”x12” each.

To get your hands on some, contact your favorite supplier. Need to find one? Click here!

MACHINE ROLLED FX90

Spectrum closing up shop certainly marks the end of an era in glass. Though we are confident that we will soldier on and forge a hopeful future in the fusing world of glass, there will be some ramifications that unfortunately we can’t amend. Machine Rolled FX90 clear and black sheets will be discontinued as these were always made for us in our formulas by Spectrum. As supplies run out, we will ramp up production in our hand rolled style with the same tried and true formula. Our standard size is 24"x30". We can make larger format hand cast sheets up to 26” wide and 33” long with thicknesses up to 6mm.

2016 GAS CONFERENCE

Are you headed to Corning for the GAS Conference next week? So are we! We hope that you’ll stop by our booth in the technical display area and say hi. Tell us what you are working on or ask us any burning questions you may have about our glass. We’re excited to help you out and hear from our supporters!

"Thank you for being a leader. Thank you for wonderful glass. Thank you for keeping us informed and thinking about how the art will grow."
