NuGO NEWSLETTER Nr 16, 10/2016

NuGO Early Career Network, NuGO ECN

The main goal of the NuGO Early Career Network, the NuGO ECN, is to stimulate the career of young scientists, promoting opportunities for collaboration and training. The ECN will channel the aspirations of young scientists, allowing them to be implemented within NuGO.

The ECN started its activities with a social networking game during NuGO week 2016 in Copenhagen. With more than 60 young scientist registered, it was a great success. Participants had a chance to interact with each other and share their experiences, which is one of the goals of the ECN.

Following the social activity, the ECN launched a survey to collect the opinion of young scientists registered to the event. The results, some displayed attached, will be used to guide the upcoming activities of the ECN. A webinar series is expected to be launched in the upcoming months.

PhD students and those who received their degree within 7 years are welcome to join the ECN. Registration is free and members will be made aware of upcoming activities. To register, interested scientists can send their contact details, i.e. name, institution and e-mail,  to
ecn.nugo@gmail.com
